Tesla's father, Milutin, was an Orthodox priest within the village of Smiljan. Tesla afterwards wrote that he became serious about demonstrations of electrical power by his physics professor.[b] Tesla noted that these demonstrations of the "mysterious phenomena" produced him want "to grasp a lot more of this amazing power".
Tesla disagreed with the speculation of atoms staying made up here of lesser subatomic particles, stating there was no such thing as an electron making an electric charge.
